Yes, you should never, ever lie and get started on the wrong foot – I totally agree you should be completely honest about the flexibility you’re looking for in a Survival Job. If you do not mention that you are a performer and looking for flexibility, then 1. How will you ever find that flexibility and 2. how will you avoid starting with a dishonest footing, one which will case you to have to lie in your interview, and probably get you fired quickly? What is the point in hiding your intention regarding your job hunt?

Since the new year the office has been pretty slow, and I’ve had to take jobs as low as $10/hr when I usually see 12 or 13. They are very flexible, however, and work with actors a lot.

I am always on Facebook and Twitter…. how could I go about getting a job using those. It seems like a great idea but you say to check out the big brands but who do we contact at those companys?

Thanks for the reminder. I need to look over all those profiles I have scattered about the interwebs. Some are more whimsical than others.
I think PDF files are the best way to send a letter, resume or picture. That way the formatting never gets undone, and it can be opened with Mac or Windows.
